“MeWe”

“I am because we are, since we are, therefore I am. I am because of who we all are”.
(ethic of Ubuntu).
"MeWe" is a metaphor for our existential therapeutic space, which embraces relational "being-in-the-world". Here you are met as you are, never objectified or needing to be fixed.
I encourage meaningful exploration of your experiences, concerns and challenges, no matter what they may be.
Therapy is sometimes associated with soothing crises and alleviating suffering. Sometimes therapy is sought in times of confusion, conflict, anxiety or hardships.
"MeWe" endeavours to explore with you how to navigate your unique life challenges and concerns.
Existential Therapy here becomes an opportunity to “look again” with fresh eyes and step beyond any notion of disorder, impairment or dysfunction.
What if nothing is wrong as such, and how to live differently or better becomes your focus?
Exploring your distress or confusion and what is important to you now through dialogue is the essence of our work.
It is effective, possible and long-lasting.
This path isn’t always comfortable. How we reveal our values, choices and limitations; how we manage unpredictability and anxiety of change, difference, and inevitable transitions is profound. Change is the beating heart of our therapeutic space.
“MeWe therapy” offers you the opportunity to talk safely and confidentially through anxieties, doubts and dilemmas together.
I will work alongside you existentially and phenomenologically with my complete care and attention.
My varied studies, research, and practical work as a therapist focus on navigating existential anxiety, inevitable change, choice-making, being-in-the-world, courage, and endings.
Transitioning life - anticipated or otherwise - particularly sporting, performing arts, artistic, creative, performance-related concerns; teaching, direction and meaningfulness or professional transition experiences are key specialisms.
Most recent specialist and unique existential doctoral research and practice explored the transition to life after playing ends for professional, semi-professional and grassroots men's and women's rugby players.

"Even though it's therapy online for me ... It feels like a partnership developed."

"Thinking back on my experience with therapy, I am so proud of how far I've come. One thing for sure I know is that I wouldn't have been able to get to this point of looking deep into my emotions, thoughts, feelings and experiences without my amazing therapist Neil."
